Jared about Gilmore Girls:
Come to find out that I was the third person that they were casting, and I remember just having, like, seven or eight auditions and having to go through this person, then to go through that person and then to go through this person again. A bunch of, like, they had already casted him twice, and so they wanted to make sure, like, they got the guy that they wanted. Which thank goodness it was me.
My first on-screen kiss, that was bizarre because you know you're kind of nervous; like you want to kiss well with the girl, you want to kind of impress her. Then you get there the next day and there are thirty people running around with lights and, like, cameras and boom mikes. And they're like, "Okay wait. You're kind of in her face. Can you lean your neck a little bit more?" So you're like, "Yeah…" And then they're like, "Wait, you chin is, can you…?" And you end up in this kind of, like, weird position and as you're, like, leaning into kiss you're like, "This looks so weird."
There are reference that I read and I'm like, "Who's this?"
Anybody that comes up and, you know, says, "Hey I love the show." Just really respects the show, respects the writing, respects the acting. And it's an honor to work for a show like that, that's respected.
